Carrie has a passion to turn people's wishes into reality as she artfully shapes each quilt, piece-by-piece, into a one-of-a-kind memory keepsake that will last for years to come. She takes the time to produce a quality product each and every time. You can trust Carrie with your memories. Email: QuiltsByCarrieJ@gmail.com
We've lived in the Columbine Area for 25 years. Carrie has been a teacher at Normandy Elementary School for over 30 years, most often as a 4th, 5th, or 6th grade teacher. She is often seen at the many Marching Band activities as she is a member of the Instrumental Music Booster Board. Connor (2020), M (2022), and AJ (Junior) are proud Columbine students/graduates. Michael currently works at Lockheed Martin and is the Instrumental Music - "Mr. Fix-It". We love living in Littleton, CO.
Want to celebrate a loved one who has passed away? I can use their clothing articles and piece them into a one-of-a kind blanket for you. You can even add photos into your quilts.
Silly moments of my 5th grader...They kept holding on to their shirts for the memories, so I snagged them and put them into this fun quilt.
This is LOADED with jerseys.
Show your school spirit with TONS of different pieces of high school.
This has Tau-Kappa-Epsilon shirts surrounding a college banner.
Celebrate Elementary - Middle - High School Activities.
Will you be my first one? I can do smaller squares for a quilt, too. :)
I would like to help you with your next project. What unique idea do you have for me?
Do you have a project already started? I can take what someone began and complete it for you to enjoy.
The more, the merrier! When you look at your shirts, look at the prints, or designs, that you have. It's the number of prints that we add up to create your quilt, not the number of shirts. So, one T-SHIRT could have a small logo or a large front pattern, and/or a pattern on the back, too.
These sometimes are the 'main event' in a quilt. The numbers, the names, and the team name are ALL a part of your quilt's story. Multiple pieces of the jersey can be used. A JERSEY could have a front, a back, and 2 sleeves.
Jackets are reinforced and added to the quilt top. Different parts can be used throughout the project.
Sweatshirts may have long logos down the arms or legs and can be magically woven into the layout.
It's always fun to add the small logo to your project. We can include the buttons, too.
These can be stitched closed, backed, and added to any quilt design.
Patches already sewn onto jerseys or jackets can be relocated onto another square.
These items will be carefully backed and sewn together artfully in a block with other items.
Each item will be considered. If it can be added, artfully, then we'll do our best to incorporate it into the design.
It takes skill and time to fit various sizes together, but that's the fun of the craft.
You name it, I can try to incorporate it. Let's see what you have and if it can be worked into a quilt.
