Steps to Creating YOUR Masterpiece

It depends!  Do you want a lap quilt, a twin, or a queen?  Each quilt square is typically 12" x 12".  So, if you have a 4x6 layout, you need 24 squares, or 24 - 30 sides of a shirt.  For a queen, this is approx. 5x7, so 35 squares, or 32-38 sides.  

A typical square is $10.  This is for the trimming, backing, piecing, etc. of each image you wish to use in the quilt.  A 4 x 6 quilt is 24 squares, totaling approximately $240.  Specialty squares (2 to 4 pieces in a square, jackets, etc.) increase the cost by $2, $5, or $10 per square, depending on the customization needed.  I always quote you the base price and add about $50 'flex' for these specialty items.  

There is an additional $100 materials fee, which covers thread, needles, batting (middle layer), backing and edging material, machine use, etc.  A deposit of $100 is required for every project.

ABSOLUTELY!  Please let me know if you have a pre-planned idea or want items set in chronological order.  I always ask for your ideas and color choices on the backing.  This is YOUR project.  I want to make it right for you.

Yes.  Let me take the stress off of your shoulders and complete the project for you.  I have such joy helping people make their dreams come true.

Yes.  I will return any optional back to you in their original shape.  I try to use every item that is labeled with a "yes" or "VIP" tag.  I group similar/multiple items together with a note to "pick 1" to use on the quilt.  The others will be returned if not used.

Yes.  I work with you to plan out the project you have in mind.  In one case, I made 4 quilts from the selection of tops for the 4 grandchildren.  Each grandchild chose their favorite 5 tops, I filled in with the other available shirts.  They each got to pick their own color of backing and border.  I want to make it right for you and your family.

No.  I work at my own pace, and only accept 2-3 projects at a time to work on.  I quote 4-6 weeks, but am typically done sooner.
